About Us
Tynedale Tennis CIC is a community-focused tennis coaching organisation dedicated to growing the game across Northumberland. We provide high-quality, inclusive coaching for juniors and adults of all abilities, helping players develop skills, confidence, and a lifelong love for tennis, and we do this by putting “fun” first. As a Community Interest Company, we are passionate about making tennis welcoming, affordable, and accessible for the whole of our community. In addition to be their passion for tennis, all our coaches are fully insured, DBS checked, and first aid trained.
Coaches and staff
|  Andy ClarkAndy is an LTA Level 3 Tennis Coach with eight years of experience delivering both group and one-to-one coaching sessions. He spent two years leading county sessions with Durham and Cleveland County and has also coached the Sunderland University mens tennis team, demonstrating his ability to work effectively with high-level players. Currently, Andy provides one-to-one coaching for several county-level junior players at Corbridge and beyond. Andy began playing at age seven, and in addition to representing Corbridge TC, he has competed in both A and B divisions, and was a successful junior in his own right. |  Archie RobinsonArchie is a graduate of the University of York and has been passionate about tennis from a very young age. Coming from a sport-loving family with long-standing ties to Tynedale RFC and Corbridge Cricket Club, he grew up immersed in sport. In addition to tennis, Archie is also a qualified gymnastics and squash coach. He is an excellent role model for young athletes, placing strong emphasis on developing a positive mindset, personal development, and good sportsmanship in all his coaching. | 
|  Antoine de GheldereAntoine is a Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon based at the RVI in Newcastle. He devotes much of his spare time to playing tennis with his family and is passionate about introducing the sport to young athletes. With over 15 years of experience working with children and their parents, Antoine brings a deep understanding of musculoskeletal health and movement analysis, this expertise, combined with his experience in using video analysis to enhance performance, makes him a valuable addition to the coaching team. |  Michael PriceMike began playing tennis at the age of five, competing as a junior and throughout his university years, where he earned a BSc in Physical Education and Sport Science. He currently acts as the Men’s Captain at Corbridge Tennis Club. As a university lecturer and lifelong advocate for youth development, Mike is passionate about the power of sport to build physical fitness, build mental resilience, and to develop social skills. He also serves as Chair of the Trustees for a charity in the Tyne Valley which is a preschool. |
